The E&E Event 2022 in Vienna, co-organised by the European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA) and Eurobitume, brought together industry professionals from across the globe for two days of insight, discussion, and connection. Hosted at the Hilton Vienna Park, this gathering marked a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas face-to-face after years of primarily virtual interaction.
With a programme built around themes such as Sustainability, Future Mobility, Health & Safety, Asphalt 4.0, and Communication, the event featured renowned speakers from the European Commission, national road authorities, research institutions, and industry leaders. Discussions spanned from adapting to environmental goals and digitalisation to empowering future leaders and promoting diversity in the sector.
The congress also showcased a truly international dimension, with participants from nearly every continent – the majority from Europe, but with strong representation from North America and Asia.
Beyond the formal sessions, the Networking Evening at Vienna’s historic Kursalon provided a memorable setting for building relationships and exchanging perspectives in a relaxed atmosphere.
